Carol O’Shea, Senior Associate, PwC

Profile PhotoCareer Path: I sat my Leaving Cert in Pobalscoil Inchear Sceine, Kenmare (2008). I then Studied Commerce in UCC from 2008 – 2012 which included year abroad on Erasmus in Washington College, USA (2012-2011) where I majored in Economics. I joined a summer internship in PwC, Cork in 2011 which led to an offer to join their graduate programme after my studies (Oct 2012 – present).

Career Influences: I have an aunt and uncle who are both successful accountants; I always had in interest in Business, Accounting and Maths in secondary school so I felt this was the right career path for me.

Career Advice:  Don’t get too worried about the points in the Leaving Cert, just do your best, there’s always more than one route to the career you want.
